Tips!
What else can I do for my tense and nervous horse?
For tense and nervous horses, it's also recommended to ensure that the stomach is in good balance and functioning well. Reduce hard feed if possible and support with prebiotics if needed.
Do laminitic horses need extra Magnesium?
Research has shown that magnesium deficiency can be one of the causes of impaired glucose tolerance and insulin resistance in horses, which in turn may be related to laminitis-related issues, so extra Magnesium oxide can be beneficial in cases of laminitis risk or high sugar levels in the grass.
